CRISSY FIELD & FORT POINT

In 2001, Crissy Field was transformed from a former military airfield into one of San Francisco’s favorite national park sites. For photos, I usually start near the Warming Hut Park Store. This area of Crissy Field has a stunning view of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco skyline. Other notable features are a beach, rolling hills, and picnic table areas.

Also within walking distance isFort Point, a former military fortress that is now open to the public for tours.

THE PALACE OF FINE ARTS

Built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific exhibition, a World Fair style event designed to bring San Francisco back to life after 1906 earthquake and fire. The Palace of Fine Arts features a rotunda and colonnades in the Beaux-Arts architectural style, immaculately landscaped grounds, and a tranquil lagoon filled with turtle, fish, and birds. Located on Baker Street in the Marina District of San Francisco, it is one of the most popular locations for photos. The surrounding lawn areas are great for picnics.
