About Baker Beach

Baker Beach is a public beach located in San Francisco, and run by the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy. It is roughly half a mile long. Keep in mind that the northern section of Baker Beach is popular with clothing-optional sunbathers.

Leashed dogs are welcome at Baker Beach.

Photo Permit

Permit: A photo permit is required for Baker Beach engagement sessions or weddings. You can submit an Event Permit Application, by postal mail, in person, or by fax.

Parking

There are two free parking lots at Baker Beach. For your photo session, you will want to park in the north lot located on Battery Chamberlin Road.

Weather

It can be extremely windy at Baker Beach. Keep the wind in mind when selecting your hairstyle and clothing for your photo session.
